The Bride:
Love In The Face Of Suffering

“…I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.…I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, …whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, …whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”… …I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, …whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven…” Matt 16:18-19, 18:18NKJV

Years ago, I watched ‘The Bride” musical movie, written by Dottie Rambo and performed by Reba Rambo and Donnie McGuire. In the beginning, Rambo, (Christ’s bride) was in the nursery with pigtails, smacking her baby dolls, reading scripture to them, calmed by Holy Spirit. Paul had written to her in 1Cor 3:2TLB “I have had to feed you with milk and not with solid food because you couldn’t digest anything stronger. …even now you still have to be fed on milk.” Also in Heb 5:13KJV “For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.” As trials came along, she began to mature, study, rightly divide the Word of Truth, (2Tim2:25). plus size mother of the bride gowns

Little girl’s maturing became more evident, more confident. Often, she yielded to her flesh. Difficulties started― hard-ball life. Problems became increasingly difficult. Bride began dressing in God’s whole armor, (Eph. 6:10-18); fighting with God’s weapons. Tables turned. She saw victories.

Plot thickens, satan makes all out attacks on the Bride. She begins listening to everything Holy Spirit says. One scene, has her being led away to martyrdom. Lights dim to darkness. Suddenly she popped up from where she was being held. Standing tall in the spotlight she shouted out: “…we have this treasure in earthen vessels, so that the surpassing greatness of the power will be of God …not from ourselves; we are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not despairing; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed;” 2Cor 4:7-9NASB.

From then on, Bride solely used God’s Words, wields His Sword, uses the keys given by Jesus. Girl began donning her wedding garments, as the Bride of Christ.. There was no fear in this new woman..She took the keys, making it known, ‘nothing would stop the advancement of Christ’s bride, as she approached her King, her Husband. .

Last devotional, we discussed the feeling of almost helplessness, which overwhelms us as we think about persecution, martyrs and ISIS; the horrors we’re seeing throughout the world today. We are “afflicted in every way, but not crushed."

It’s time to stand up church! We must declare, we ARE THE CHILDREN OF GOD! “For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly awaits for the revealing of the sons of God. …For we know that the whole creations groans and labors with birth pangs, together until now. “ Rom 8:19, 22NKJV.

Daily our prayers needs to include binding ISIS powers and abilities; pleading the blood of Jesus over ourselves, families, and Christians everywhere; declaring— ‘satan, you can’t cross the blood of Jesus!’ (See Ex 12:24). I demand— every drop of Christian blood being shed, be paid back in souls saved from the Muslim people. Praise, LOUDLY, like the worshippers leading Jehoshaphat’s army to battle, (2Chron 20.)

Two of Christ’s bride in front of God count. Jesus said Matt 18:19-20NKJV “I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. …where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.”

Spread the word to everyone in your church. There must be thousands of us praying and declaring the same things before God. “it will be done for us by His Father.” Together we become the victorious Bride of Christ. Will you join me? It’s your choice. You choose.

PRAYER: Papa God, We desire to grow up and become the Bride You expect us to be. Help us to be about Your business. Praying Your Words and taking authority over the enemy powers, in Jesus’ name.
